Tuesdays Lesson

In tuesdays lesson we learned about opening sequences to films. We learned about the company indent that is used in a opening film sequence eg. 20th Centry Fox. We also learned about other things that are conveyed to the audience like the main director, Producer, the character build up within the opening credits. In the lesson we also learned about the Hermeneutic code, these are narative nigmas that are unanswered questions that the audience wants answered, these are often used at the start of the film eg. i Robot or parts or the story that are not fully explained. The Proairetic code which we also learned about is an action that suggests further action/ reaction eg. a character as an argument and the audience wonders what the resolution or outcome of this argument will be. This creates supspence/ tention as the audience wonder what the outcome will be and begin to make guesses.
